My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. i just recently picked up the 7pin adversary lock you referenced and its amazing all the different things you do vs ordering a ton of locks. i picked up the extra pins. i didnt even consider the padlock style adjustable. thats awesome. thanks for that, ill be shooting for that now

  2. bosnianbill, I have several American Locks that I can re key like the one you show. Since they are no longer available can you recommend a repinning kit that I can purchase to do the same thing? I am looking on Ebay and there are dozens of kits. Which one should i buy?

  3. To anyone that is watching this video, there is a seller on Ebay selling these for around $28. You get a cylinder with extra pins, springs, security pins, etc. Plenty to play around with. I just for mine and since I am very new at this, loaded it up on pins 1, 3, and 5. I sit around at night with TOK tension wrench and a couple of others just to get the feel of locating pin locations and working on proper tension to get pins set. I apready know which is the binder but still takes me resetting sometimes because I have I overset something.  Its a great lock to learn on. Well worth the money. Now I am waiting on my skill level to increase so I can progress to security pins. Dont be in a hurry if you are new like me. Stay on regular pins until you can pick it without even thinking about it.

  4. This is still available on eBay. I asked you a while back about the ultimate challenge lock. This one on eBay is half the price of the ultimate challenge lock and appears to be identical. The one on eBay now doesn't show a brand name on the lock but does look like that Corbin. I was all set to get the ultimate but ran across this vid, and just saved me $25. thanks.

    p.s.  Its an ilco.

  5. Thanks for the idea to get these pins on ebay! I already have a tumbler I use and rearrange pins in. I ordered around 80 security pins for $14.

  6. Appreciate the video, I watched it a little while back and ordered one of these locks. For a beginner how would you recommend slowly increasing the difficulty of this lock by utilizing the various pins provided in the kit. I currently feel comfortable with the five pin set up both single point picking and racking, is it best to just throw one security pin in at a time and play with the depth of the other pins any advice would be appreciated.  (Keep up the great work by the way, really learning a lot from your videos.)

  7. +FlyingFree333  First, you have replies disabled so nobody can answer your question.  Second, you have PM turned off so nobody can message you with an answer.  You'll probably never see this, but try mrlock.com for the serrated pins.

  8. I have a rekeyable cutaway 6 pin practice lock that has standard and spool pins, I want to get a set of 6 serrated and 6 mushroom pins to use with it as well. Do you know a source I can buy them (preferably inexpensively)?

  9. Thanks again +bosnianbill for the video. It has kept me busy for the last couple of weeks. I worked my butt off to make sure that everyone got their locks and in all the locks I have only had two issues. One the package broke which is weird because anyone that got a lock can tell you I double taped all the seems. And the other never showed up as shipped so I sent out a new lock before the customer knew.

  10. Thanks for posting this video/link Bill! I'm just starting out and need all of the practice I can get. I just ordered the padlock and one of the Sargent 6 pins to try 😀 Super exciting!

  11. +bosnianbill Which of these two locks do you recommend I get if I can only get one? I'm leaning towards the Corbin just because it has more of a variety of security pins and it's a bit easier to repin, but what do you think?

  12. Finishing up a new batch of practice locks. I will have the first batch up on Friday(10/10/2014). If you ordered one of the Americans I will give you a $3 discount just use the eBay offer and I will check.

If you were one of those who emailed I have some set aside for you. Message me on eBay and I will send you the link for them.

  13. The american padlock should have serrated bottom pins in the lock as well as spool or serrated pins for top pins in the lock.  the extra bottom pins  look like there were out of the master lock pin kit. it also looks like he gave you some master pins as well.

  14. I have an Anchor Las padlock 820-2,
Is it very easy to pick or cut the shackle by the saw,
and I use it to lock my tool box,
    thanks for your valuable suggestio.

  15. Well I was not expecting this amount of interest in the locks but it is great. I dropped off the orders at the post office today. eBay is taking its time updating the listing but I have some more practice locks listed.

American: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221560936112 – Have 20 up as that is about as many pins I have for immediate shipping. More pins on order.

I will have no more after these sell:
    Corbin – 8: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221560941381
    Sargent – 6: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221561032255
    5 Pin – 11: http://www.ebay.com/itm/221561028194

  16. Thankfully, as a result of speaking to a local locksmith I got a handfull of corbins and others. He did give me a handfull of pins as well for repinning, but no spools or serrated pins. Prob figured was above my skill level and I cant blame him…yet. Gonna visit him again soon cause they are great practice…learned a lot.
