My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Can one feel the difference between false gates and the correct one? If you don't and you have, say 8 discs and one false gate per disc, so 2 gates per disc (1 correct + 1 false).. This would make 2^8 = 256 possible combinations of which only one is correct. Could be even worse with multiple false gates (There would be enough room on these discs for say 4 additional false gates (4 false + 1 correct = 5 gates per disc) 5^8 = 390625 possible combinations of which only one will work). This could be quite challenging! :)

  2. hey i just bought a master magnum m15 lock and i've managed to spp it a couple time i was wondering if it worth while and the money to by any other master magnum while i'm starting out?

  3. Some people think master a good leavel a security some think otherwise ( most think they suck ) , but I think there a great form of security at a level of -100000000000000000000000000000000000000 in my bock. Dose anyone know what that number is.

  4. Great job Bill…Oh how I hate seeing you guys open these so easily….Lol I just can't seem to feel anything….I can't knowingly set a disc? I never know which disc I'm on…I wish they had slots or even lines on the pick, that let you "read" the inside better….I know it shouldn't be that hard, but I don't practice nearly enough, either which is prolly the reason though…..

  5. Fantastic picking as always Bill. I will have to try get my disk detainer pick fixed as the tip came off in shipping so never used it, I have put a bit of wire into it with a right angle bend for the tip but does not seem to work. On my next attempt I will try fitting a finishing nail to it as they have a "T" shape to them, but dont think a hardware store will sell me just one LOL!!!!!
