My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I got the shims from SouthOrd – I think they were about $25. Don't waste your money on the cheaper Chinese ones – the edges are VERY sharp & cut your fingers, and the metal is crap & bends easily.

  2. Great picking….and I have noticed that a lot of the locks I cant open have that type of bitting… the deep cut on pin one or two….makes it very very easy to over set that pin….a question …. were those peterson shims ? I need to get some…do you have a recommendation ?
