(215) Abus ZB Bypass (and a Giraffe)

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Bill, I need to get a combo lock and want the most security I can get but without a key. Your entry into this lock looked "a little" more difficult than getting into the Master lock so I am leaning toward the Abus. But I don't see the ZB model anywhere for sale. It looks like the current line is the 1801 in a "B" and "BHB" version. Do you know if these have any better bypass obstacles than the ZB or are these even easier to get into? Any info you have would be appreciated. thanks Tim

  2. Hard to pay attention to even a nice lock when you have a beautiful backyard like that for a backdrop. I'd have to pick after dark 🙂

  3. It's only my subjective feeling, but I do think it has a better quality than master locks. My opinion is the same, the way for the pick is tighter. So your sample size just increased with 100% :D.

(if that's a peterson mini tool how durable and quality are they?)

I also love the giraffe.I find them somehow cool and funny but still somehow majestic.I've heard they seldom do, but when they communicate they make funny noises.
I think the beautiful nature shots really liven up your vids! 🙂

  4. I think I will… It feels very different than the cheap Master Lock version. I'm curious why the Germans didn't shield it a little better. We'll find out soon enough!
